I am very interested in using the Client API support for asset operations from the command line. This would allow me to easily demonstrate the abilities of RAM.

One example would be show all the Asset or an attribute for a particular category schema leaf

Where is this Command line interface? I cannot find it 😦

    Love this Blog

Hi Thomas, Glad you like the blog. Thanks for visiting and commenting. The command line interface is built on ANT. You create script statements in a file that then get executed via ANT. To get access to sample scripts to get you started and the binaries you need to call RAM via these scripts, go to RAM Web Client, Click on Help, Extensions and download “ramclient.zip” This contains the client jars ANT needs to use WebServices to work with the RAM server. It also has the sample XML scripts to publish, retrieve or update assets.

You can Fast Forward in this demo to see how we are using these scripts to retrieve approved binaries out of RAM for a build process but also publishing back builds and their dependencies on other asset components in RAM. You need to also have Ant Installed. If I have time I will post a tutorial on this.

    thanks as always

Are there any Ant scripts available that could jump start me?

Plus I am wanted to use this to query for assets by category
    and attribute
